In cryptography, a cryptographic hash function takes an input and produces a hash value known as a message digest. These nonlinear and non-reversible functions are designed so that the input data cannot be retrieved. It is one way to ensure data integrity from one source to another. MD5, SHA-1 and SHA-2 are all supported.
