The Lucas numbers are a variation on the Fibonacci sequence. Each number in the sequence is the sum of the two numbers that precede it and begin with 2 and 1. So, the sequence
goes: 2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 11, 18, 29, 47, 123, 199, and
so on.
Desktop Chrome/Firefox Users: The first tool allows you to calculate quickly, and with extremely high precision, any number of the sequence that your browser can handle. It can calculate 1M iterations (208,988 digits
long!) in
around 30 seconds. Note: This tool is hidden on mobile devices.
All Users: The bottom four tools allow you to search through the first 10,000 iterations of the Lucas sequence (up to 2090 digits long) and show a variety of things about them. Results shown at
bottom.
